YAZMIN ZAMORA-MURPHY
YOGA SCULPT INSTRUCTOR
In 2019, Yazmin discovered a passion for yoga and barre. After completing college and returning home, the goal was to diversify an exercise routine and find a more fulfilling activity. This led Yaz to a yoga studio in New Hampshire, where Yazmin initially enrolled in hot yoga and barre classes. Each class brought a sense of exhilaration and revealed muscles that had never been worked before, ultimately inspiring the pursuit of barre certification by the fall of 2020.
In 2021, Yazmin relocated to the South Shore with her husband, where they purchased a home. Teaching in New Hampshire came to an end, but virtual classes continued via Zoom throughout the pandemic, while local studios were explored. Barre practice was supplemented with Pilates classes until a visit to her best friend in Milwaukee led to an introduction to yoga sculpt. This first class was captivating, leaving a lasting impression and a deep sense of well-being after the workout.
Uncertain about the availability of similar classes on the South Shore, Yazmin was thrilled to discover a studio offering yoga sculpt classes. Attending every opportunity to take these classes, each session left her feeling rejuvenated and empowered.
To deepen her knowledge and enhance her teaching skills, Yazmin enrolled in a yoga sculpt training program in February 2025, earning certification and beginning to teach yoga sculpt shortly after. Now, as a proud member of this team, she is committed to leading engaging and inclusive classes.
With a high-energy, mindful approach, Yazmin’s teaching style emphasizes inclusivity and a touch of spice. Encouraging students to find their own resistance and listen to their bodies, each class is infused with rhythm and movement—especially to the beat of a favorite genre, Latin music!
Three words to describe Yazmin’s class are: Energizing, Empowering, Inclusive
